Join us at The Discovery Museum in Reno for our annual Ethics Month event, which will focus on a critical aspect of our profession: ethics in Public Relations. We will explore the ethical standards that guide our work and the impact of our practices on public perception and trust, especially in how we engage with and share content on social media and online.
Our esteemed speaker is Dr. Gi W. Yun, Dean of the Reynolds School of Journalism and Center for Advanced Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. With a distinguished career that spans cyber security, social media ethics, and media psychology, Dr. Yun brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. His talk will explore the ethical challenges of disseminating information through social media and the psychological aspects that influence media communication.

About Our Speaker:
Dr. Gi W. Yun has been a pivotal figure in media ethics and communication, known internationally for his scholarly work on the social psychological aspects of media and communication. His research has been funded by prestigious institutions such as the National Science Foundation, Google, and the Online News Association. Join us as Dr. Yun shares insights from his latest projects on healthcare advertising, machine bias in media, and the framing of immigration stories in local media.
