Nominate an Outstanding Individual for the 2026 PRSA Silver Spike Awards

All nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. You do not need to be a PRSA member to nominate someone.

You’ve seen remarkable work in the PR and communications field, and we want to hear about it. Nominate a professional who stands out for their creativity and resilience, and who went above and beyond to elevate their client or brand.

Gold Spike Community Excellence

This award acknowledges the contributions of a communications professional who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the community through their leadership, resulting in elevating the profession and advocating for the professional.

Does not need to be a PRSA member.

Mark Twain Community Service

This award is given to a non-communications professional by trade who has positively impacted the profession by giving of their time and talent while upholding the highest ethical standards of PRSA.

Does not need to be a PRSA member.

Mark Curtis Jr. Chapter Member of the Year

This award is named for one of the Sierra Nevada Chapter's founding members and is given to a chapter member with 5+ years of experience who serves within the communications profession and is highly involved in the PRSA Sierra Nevada Chapter while demonstrating the highest ethical standards of PRSA.

PRSA membership is required.

Outstanding New Practitioner

This award is given to a new communications practitioner with less than five years of experience in recognition of their service to the profession, the chapter, or community while upholding the values and standards of PRSA.

PRSA membership is required.

PR Hall of Fame

This award honors a Sierra Nevada Chapter member with 20+ years of experience who leads by example and is a steward of the profession through their professional career as well as through their volunteerism. They uphold the highest ethical standards of PRSA through their commitment and contributions to the industry.

PRSA membership is required.
