We're listening and your voice matters!

PRSA Sierra Listening Tour

Your PRSA Sierra Nevada board believes that the best ideas come from the people who live and breathe communications every day: you, our members, peers, and partners in the PR and communications profession. That’s why we’ve launched our Listening Tour: a series of conversations designed to hear directly from the people who shape our industry in Northern Nevada and beyond.

What’s in It for You?

This isn’t just another meeting on your calendar — it’s your chance to help us create programming, professional development, and networking opportunities that truly meet your needs. By sharing your experiences, challenges, and ideas, you can:

  • Influence the topics we bring to our workshops, panels, and events.

  • Help us connect you with the tools and resources that will make the biggest impact in your work.

  • Strengthen our chapter’s role as a hub for meaningful connections in the PR and communications community.

Why This Matters

  • Client expectations, priorities, and budgets are shifting; we want to learn how that’s affecting your work.

  • Agencies and teams are being asked to deliver faster, more measurable results; how are you adapting?

  • Skills gaps exist across the profession: this is an opportunity to design training that addresses them.

  • AI, evolving media channels, and changing consumer behavior are influencing campaigns; we want to hear your perspective.

What We’ll Do with Your Input

Every conversation we have on the Listening Tour will be collected, reviewed, and distilled into an action plan for the chapter. Your feedback will help us:

    • Identify emerging trends and training needs.

    • Create programs that support pros at every career stage — from new practitioners to seasoned leaders.

    • Build partnerships with other professional development organizations to expand your opportunities.

In short: what you tell us will shape what we do next.

    How It Works

The Listening Tour is flexible and designed to meet you where you are:

    • Small-group discussions at agencies, companies, and nonprofits.

    • One-on-one chats with members and local communicators.

    • Virtual sessions for those outside the immediate Reno–Tahoe area.

We’ll ask a few guiding questions about your work, your professional development goals, and how PRSA can be most valuable to you. But most importantly — we’ll be listening.

    Let’s Talk

Whether you have five minutes or half an hour, we want to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] to set up a conversation or join one of our upcoming stops on the Listening Tour. Your voice is the key to making PRSA Sierra Nevada stronger, smarter, and more relevant than ever.
